This book was an engaging and captivating read. I've been looking for a Paranormal Romance that I can truly sink my teeth into. This book was it for me. The minute I picked up this book until the very end, I couldn't put it down. Even when my tablet died once and I just about screamed. I didn't thought, LOL, but I definitely came close.
To be honest, I hadn't expected to be sucked in so deeply. Not that I feared it wouldn't be a good read. I wouldn't have bought it if that were the case. But it's been a very long time since I was pulled in so completely that the lines blurred between me and the characters. I was a woman, a man, a shifter, a human, and so on. It was an incredible journey and right.
There was many things about this book that I could hammer out and brag on, but I won't. I won't because I want anyone that reads this review and chooses to read this book, I want you to be as surprised and sucked in by this story the author is telling as I was.
Nico's battle in this book is more than just a shifter finding a mate. It was more a piecing of his soul back together. His mate, Jenna, lost all she ever knew long ago, but was losing even more now. It's what brought Nico across her path to begin with. >>Sigh!<<
This book not only tells Nico and Jenna's story, but it also sets up the other characters that you will be falling in love with as you read the book. When you reach the end it will also leave you begging for the next book. Have no fear though. Book 2 is out AND I have read it (and all the other books in this series and the White River Wolves series that mingles with the R.A.R.E series).
**Note: The one big start rating means that it will stick with me for a while. Better than a 5 star**
