Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! I don't know how the author does it, but somehow each book is better than the last one. Steele and Storm are both stubborn, feisty, and damn protective of those they love. Steele knew the minute Storm was there before he even knew where she was. But as their time in the demented hands of the General, they find each other. They help each other and then they break each other to save the other again.
You find out more about the history of many of the main characters and the truths from the lies. You also get the constant battle between Chase and Angel (which always serves to make me giggle and wish they were together already). As per course with the other books, you get a hint into the next book.
Steele had been made out to be some kind of animal through the other books. Though when you met Jade she tried to shine light on the subject as did Jinx (whom I love and want as my own LOL). But it isn't until this book that you see things for the way they actually happened.
Though, guilt eats many of them alive. Anger and revenge is more potent in ALL those fighting against the General. To be honest, I'm dreading when this series (both of them) comes to an end. These characters and storyline is so engaging and addicting that it's hard to decide between wanting to know everything and wanting to devour each word slowly to make it last.
Another slam dunk for this author. Keep this coming!
